Sight Word Swat! is a fun and energetic game to help kids enhance their reading, spelling, and vocabulary skills. This fast-paced, hands-on activity makes learning feel like play, perfect for one to four players. It’s an excellent way for children to build confidence in reading while enjoying the process.
In the game, each fly has two sight words from the Dolch list (the 220 most common sight words). When a word is called out, players race to "swat" the matching word on the fly with their swatter. The player who swats the most flies wins! The flies are color-coded based on grade levels: Blue for Pre-K, Red for Kindergarten, Green for First Grade, Orange for Second Grade, and Purple for Third Grade. This makes it easy to adapt the game for different learning levels.
