Picture Communication Starter Set

This set, created by a speech and language pathologist with over 20 years of experience, is designed to help children and adults use augmentative communication systems.

Inside, you'll find 400 of the most commonly used communication cards, carefully selected to cover key topics for everyday communication. The bright and colorful cards feature fun illustrations that make them easy to understand and engage with. The topics included are foods, greetings, people, calendar words, transportation, action words, art supplies, furniture, toys, body parts, clothes, and various wants and needs.

These communication cards can also be used independently or as part of other visual strategies like picture schedules and communication exchanges. With this set, you can easily create and customize pages of basic communication symbols. Slip the cards into one of the included 20-pocket vinyl pages! This feature is great for users of pointing-based communication systems.

The set contains:

• Over 400 laminated picture cards covering common communication topics
• Twelve durable vinyl 20-pocket sheets, each holding up to 40 cards (20 per side). You can use all 12 sheets to display up to 480 symbols simultaneously!
• A 3-ring binder to store the pocket sheets and cards, with space on the cover for a name tag
• Two vinyl storage sheets with 9 pockets each for storing extra unused cards
