The Worry Control Game is a fun and engaging way to help kids manage stress and anxiety. Using proven techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), this game teaches children how to understand their feelings, identify what triggers their worries, and apply valuable strategies to calm themselves down.
The game covers three critical areas:
Understanding anxiety: Kids will learn to recognize situations that cause anxiety and discover ways to challenge negative thoughts.
Relaxation techniques: To help them feel more relaxed, children will practice calming methods like deep breathing, muscle relaxation, visualization, and mindfulness.
Positive thinking: The game encourages kids to replace unhelpful or anxious thoughts with more positive and soothing ones.
The Worry Control Game offers cooperative and competitive play styles, allowing you to choose the best option for your child. In both modes, players read scenarios and decide on the best management strategy. They can choose to POWER ON with positive self-talk, PAUSE to practice a relaxation technique, or REWIND to reflect on a time when they handled a similar worry successfully.
