Created by Max Nass, LMHC, and Marcia Nass, MS, this game introduces children to ten simple strategies they can use to calm down and regain control when they feel angry. It’s a great tool for parents, teachers, and caregivers to teach kids how to express their emotions in healthy ways.

In the game, players are given different scenarios that could make them angry. Before reacting, they have to flip over a sand timer and wait for seven seconds. This short pause helps children practice controlling their impulses and thinking before they act. This helps them practice managing their emotions better.The game comes with a double-sided poster showing anger warning signs and calming strategies, so players can quickly refer to it. There are also four colorful sand timers and a helpful guide for adults to use while playing.

This game is a wonderful way for kids to build CASEL skills like self-awareness, self-regulation, and emotional control in a fun, interactive way.
