Let's Talk About Emotions & Behavior

This set is created to help kids recognize and talk about their feelings and actions. It uses researched methods to support children in developing key skills such as understanding and managing their emotions. The set includes three helpful tools that encourage self-awareness and self-regulation:

The I Feel Chart and Emotion Icons assist children in identifying their feelings and broadening their emotional vocabulary. You can begin with basic emotions like happiness, sadness, anger, and surprise, and then add more as your child becomes more comfortable with the process.

The How Big is My Emotion Chart helps children gauge the intensity of their emotions. For instance, feeling mildly sad about a broken pencil differs from feeling deeply sad about a friend moving away.

The Emotion/Reaction Chart teaches kids how to match their emotions with appropriate responses. If something minor happens, like being bumped, they’ll learn it’s okay to have a more minor reaction. They’ll also understand when a bigger reaction might be disproportionate to the situation, helping them adjust their behavior accordingly.

The set also includes a black-and-white version of the charts for worksheet activities, making it easier to practice and explore emotions in different situations.
